Position Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Nature of Work:
Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Acts as liaison with engineering in releasing new products. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
The primary responsibilities of the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:
o Collaborating regularly with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
o Coordinating and directing projects and formulating detailed plans to accomplish goals
o Directing the integration of technical activities
o Analyzing technology, resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
o Planning and directing the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment
o Directing reviewing and approving product designs and changes
o Hiring, developing, supervising and evaluating technical and some non-technical direct reports
To be considered for this position, a candidate will possess, and demonstrate, the following skills, education, experience and characteristics:
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of formal degree
o Minimum of 8 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering Management in a Plastics, Die Cast or similar manufacturing environment
o Strong technical skills in process engineering with demonstrated ability to improve yields is a must.
o Solid knowledge and strong experience in molding, die casting or a compatible industry is required.
o Strong can do attitude with a passion for getting the job done on time and within cost constraints
o Candidate should be passionate about customer service delivering only the very best qualityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
